This painting pays tribute to and acknowledges the Australia’s First People throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, sea and community.
I love a coastal interior and it doesn’t always need to be blue and white. The rustic colours of timber and different textures helps to bring the outdoors in. This is a romantic piece as encapsulates the sea and its significance in many relationships.
The edges have been painted burnt umber to create a faux frame and to ensure no raw canvas is seen.
